OMG was today long! We had the alarm set for 8am and had all of us up, dressed, and out the door by 9:30am. Off to Value Village to check out pants for the Monster. It was scarey. Very Salvation Army. Will never be back there. Went to Winner's after that and bought over $200 in stuff...for Jason! Got a couple toys and ONE pair of pants for the Monster, but it was mostly about J. Stuff he needed like winter boots, new running shoes, underwear, etc. I got some cool cookie cutters that I plan on giving a whirl tomorrow. Off to Walmart for the portrait. Wasn't as horrible as expected. Had a hard time getting J to really crack a smile, but got one pose that really worked for whole family and even got a nice one of the two of us together. Next to Harvey's for lunch, then Sportmart for specialized shoes for both J and I. Him was Volleyball shoes, and mine were for working out. Pet store, grocery store then home. We were not in the door until almost 4pm. YAAAAAAWN!
The entire day I was really good on my points. Packed a bag before leaving with bottles of water, apples and cranberries. It saved us BIG TIME when we were out and about and not wanting to stop. Had salad at Harvey's while J and the Monster chowed down on burgers and onion rings. That one hurt, but I still have 2 points left right now, so I'm guess it was a good decision? Need to walk a bit on the treadmill and start breaking in the new shoes.
The monster is sick with a sore throat and fever. He is refusing to take medicine right now so I'm not giving him any sympathy. There is nothing I can to for him to get him to feel better unless he is willing to down some syrup. Don't cry to me at midnight. ARG!
Need to get laundry started. Raiding tomorrow night with Vanguard so will have to have everything done and taken care of by 7pm. I'm off to be usefull.
Ciao for now.

F-F-F-Friday!
Yay! Weekend! So happy! This week has been endless. Having work out three nights a week, plus dealing with the monster's homework and various form/orders, playing vanguard, and keeping track of everything else is getting a little bit much. Love the third class I'm taking. it's 20/20/20 with 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of step, and then 20 minutes of abs. It's a nice change from the rest of the week's strength class. Am back on plan as of this past Wednesday. It's feeling okay. I'm not in rythem for it yet and am not eating enough during the day. Which of course means I'm STARVING at night and then eating all my leftover points then. I'll work on balancing it out next week.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. We are scheduled to go into town shopping and get a family portrait done. Don't ask me why, but both mother's want J and I to get it done and that be our present. Whatever. It's a picture. We take better pictures AND without the cheesy background screen. We're also going to be pants shopping for the monster, and going out for lunch. Pray for me and that J's patience holds. :P
Also, going to be continuing with the reno work in the guest room. I got about 1/3 of the wallpaper off already. The worst part about it is that the idiots that owned the house before us didn't paint the entire wall, then put the paper up. They put the paper DIRECTLY on the drywall and then painted below it! It's a major pain in the ass, but I have the entire day Sunday to work on it. Plastering up the holes is next on the agenda, sandpaper those spots when it's dry, strip the hardware off the room, prime twice, paint twice, put the hardware back, and finally move the furniture back in. YAY! Another DAD-FREE project! :)
Buh bye!

Weeeeeekend!
Yesterday was a good day. I slept in and then was up getting the laundry going, had a broccoli and asparagus frittata with the family, and then got dressed to start on the garden. All of my perennials I'm sick of. We have a tiger lily, some yellow iris and purple iris, and OMG do we have phlox! It's purple, it only blooms at the end of August and the stalks are taller then I am. I cut all the stalks off with the shears so that they could be bagged, ripped all the stuff that was left out of the front garden, and then started digging out the weed/vegetable garden. Funnily enough, some of the "weeds" I pulled out of there were veggies I didn't even know I was growing! Imagine me reaching for weeds and then coming up with a handful of radishes the size of golf balls! Pretty funny. Before I was totally worn out I filled one and a half yard waste bags. Today to finish up that project I have to get all the perennials out of the garden and into little bags for a fundraiser at work, rip the tomato plants out of the veggie garden, open up the composter and spread all gardens with it to make the soil better.
Last night was a big night for Ryan and I. I took him to his first Sens game. It was free tickets from work.
...
K, here is the story about the free tickets from work. The VP's got their heads together and bought a corporate box. Then they put the rule that they can only go to work people so they are given out only one at a time. Which means no one wants them because then you are hanging out with work people and not bringing someone you actually want to spend time with. So I didn't even want to go. Didn't email that I wanted a ticket...until my boss comes and asks me to get a ticket in my name for her. I'm okay with it. So I call and get it. Apparently two of my other co-workers did the same thing so that KM and her son could go. Next thing I hear is KM forgot that she has a date planned with her hubby and doesn't want the tickets anymore. I say I'll take them and use them as a reward for The Monster getting 5 out of 5 out of this week's spelling test. We have the excuses all worked out. One of us is getting the flu, and KM remembers she has the date at the last minute. The Monster and I pack up, drive to Home Depot to park ('Cause there is no way in hell I'm paying $11 for parking!), and walk in to The Bank. I get there and my boss is no where in sight. The game starts and The Monster is enthralled for maybe 15 minutes before he loses interest. Still no sign of my boss. I get The Monster through to the start of the second period before he is done and we leave. I get to say to the entire group of work people, great, my boss and two other co-workers stood me up for team building. :D Anyway, at least I wasn't upset about leaving early as the ticket was free. And because we were in a box there was a sink so we were drinking water instead of paying $8 per drink! YAY!
Anyway, I'm off to get busy with finishing up chores before going raiding in Vanguard!
Blog ya later!

CHARGE!!!!
OMG I want to SHOP! I have a major clothing urge. I have a ton of winter/fall outfits but none of them feel "right". I don't know if this is fluctuating weight, boredom due to it all being three to four years old, or just the need to go out to a mall and buy something that makes me feel pretty. SIGH! I don't want to spend money right now! The new front door comes off the Home Depot credit card in two weeks and goes straight onto the line of credit and six months after that the bedroom window does the same thing. Not to mention Christmas being right in the middle.
I'm also getting the urge to do some home renovation again. Nothing huge or too expensive. I just think it's time to finally put our stamp on the guest room down stairs. The bed and mattress are J's old ones from his single days. The current plan is to just replace the mattress and buy a quilt cover for the old quilt. I'd like to step up to the plate and stript the old wall paper trim off and get rid of the mint green paint. The carpet is a deep rose color and isn't going anywhere so I'm thinking about a dark brown quilt cover and a light coffee colored paint for the walls. New blinds would be a must as well.
sigh.
Dreaming is always fun.
Ciao for now.

Weekend of Awesome!
It was such a great weekend! J and I were on the road by 6pm to head for the folks. The drive was very good, in that the traffic was not heavy and there were no delays. I was excited to fill up the gas tank at 99.9! But then on the drive home we pass a station that had 94.7. Oh well, it's all in the perspective right? I did the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning with my Mom. There wasn't as many people as last year but she still did well with her sales. It was fun just sitting with her and catching up on stuff. Hearing the latest about everything going on in the 'Burg. Got to see my brother and nephew. My monster and the mini-monster had a blast together! They got along great and behaved very well. We are all planning on driving down to see my Gramma at New Years. She will be turning 90 and I haven't seen her in about 7 years due to the huge drive to get there and J not having vacation time. As long as the weather is good we should have a great trip.
Work is going well. I didn't expect to like having the office to myself as much as I am. On the two days that I have help it's nice to have someone keeping me company, but the days that I'm alone are great in that I let my inner hermit rock out. :)
My monster tried out Hip Hop classes this month. The first class was great, the second he didn't really want to go, the third it was out and out rebellion about going so I cancelled the whole thing and am getting my money back. He has fun while he is there and moving, but overall I'm going to to keep him in it just to fight with him every week about getting him out the door. Cash back on to the line of credit too so J is happy.
My boy is going to be 6 years old in a month and a half. It's very odd when I take the time to think about it. He used to be this lump that peed and cried and had to be rocked ENDLESSLY. Now he is running out the door saying, "Bye Mom! I'm gonna go to So-and-so's to play!". I miss the age of three. He was protected in house, he was toilet trained, he could play and interact with other kids and his own toys without help, could feed himself and had opinions on what foods he liked. AND he slept through the night! There are ton's of great things about his age, but I miss my munchkin. It's hard to use that word on him now that he is as tall as my collar bone! He is also doing well in school. We have had a couple 5/5 with spelling tests and his math homework comes back with great marks. As far as I can tell he really likes school, except first thing in the morning when it's time to get out of bed! :P
