Holy cow has today been awesome! I have been frickin’ efficient and productive. I finished a ton of lingering little jobs at work, made dinner when I got home, got The Boy into bed, help J clean the kitchen, swept and mopped our disgusting kitchen floor, and then to top it all off I folded a MOUNTAIN of clean laundry! So this is what it feels like! The feeling of jobs well done! AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our little family grew by one this weekend. I went out and bought The Boy his first pet. Introducing…..
Blackfish!
I had just gotten back from a major spending spree with KCh. and Risa. I had hit in one day IKEA, Lee Valley Tools, Eddie Bauer, Old Navey, and will be going back to Bayshore next weekend to pick up some new running shoes from Athlete’s World. I finally gave in to the urge that has been plaguing me for weeks that my little guy needed his own little friend to take care of and keep him company. I got him home after he was in bed so at 6:30am I had the usual bat to the face, “Mommy? Chocolate milk!”.
I then replied, “R*@!, did you know that Mommy brought you home a friend last night?”
Cue his little face lighting up and, “WHERE?”
“Let’s go downstairs and see!”
Realize that J and I had been getting to know this thing since last night and had tried to guess what The Boy would name him. With the blue fins we figured BLUE. Nope, he took one look and said, “BLACKFISH!”. When he get’s home from daycare the first thing is, “Feed Blackfish?”. Thus he was named.
Anyway, you won’t believe this but I’m still sick. We are now on the fourth week and I’m pretty sick of it. If this does not clear up soon….well, FACK. What can I do!?! I’ve already tried two prescriptions!?! GAR!!!!
Anyway, let’s hope tomorrow is as good as today was! :)
Ciao for now.

Must...blog...*gasp*
So needless to say I am back to being sick again. All I have to say about that is WTF!?! I actually finished the facking drugs to the last horse pill and now I'm getting a sore throat and running nose not three days after. GAWD!!!!!
Anyway, Mom and Dad were up over the weekend. Much fun was had by all as I took Mom out to celebrate her hitting the 15 lbs lost milestone with WW! YAY MOMMY!!! I took her out for a pedicure and lunch.
Want to blog more but am SO frickin' tired. I have no energy for anything other then sleeping these days. Working out bit the dust about three weeks ago.

Feeling better...but stressed!
I hit a new level of stress this week. I took The Boy in for his appointment at CHEO for his feet. He was a great little boy, held still for his x-ray’s, played quietly in the waiting room, was talkative with the Dr. Anyway, we are looking at surgery for both his feet. As a mom I am so not happy about this, I mean I’m happy this is going to fix his feet, but I’m not happy at the idea that he is going to be put under and cut on. I’m going to see if they can do it next May. They have too much of a waiting list to get it done this May, if they do it during the summer he is stuck in casts for the whole summer, then he is starting school in the fall. I keep thinking that if he misses the last month of Jr. Kindergarten it won’t hurt him. Also, it will be after the bad weather, we won’t be trying to get winter boots on him, plus it won’t be so hot that the casts will be horrible. Anyway, will see what the Dr. says.
J has now caught my cold. He is pretty miserable, but at least the boy is healthy. I’m just starting to feel better.
Big exciting things happening tonight! I’m going to go test drive the Caliber! CAN’T WAIT!!! I know how much of a trade in I could get for Barney from our family dealer in Cobourg, but I want to see just what the dealership up here can offer me.
Ciao for now.

WHY!!! That's all I want to know!!!
So to put the proverbial cherry on my cake...I HAVE FRICKIN' PINK EYE! I can't tell you how much I hate this particular illness. I hate the drops, I hate how my eyes feel, I hate how my eyes look...ARG! I can't tell you how much I would give right now for one solid week of being healthy and having a good night's sleep. :(

Sickness Blog?
Okay, here it is. The post to end all posts. I have been pretty delinquent (How’s that for a ten dollar word!) in posting for the past two weeks. Good reasoning though, once again I have been sick. This started about 2 and a half weeks ago with a cold that started about mid week. Here’s the fun part. Marshy at work already had strep throat AND the stomach flu on top of it! She was home for the whole week and we had an audit going on at work. I stayed and suffered through until the Friday afternoon. The audit had finished on the Thursday, I had finished doing all the morning responsibility stuff so I threw in my hat and closed the office. The weekend was a blur of being on Tylenol Sinus Day/Night and doing twice daily nasal shots of Dristan. I didn’t feel like I got any sleep the whole two days so when Monday rolled around I made it in to work, got my morning responsibilities done and then threw in the towel and went back home. I got SOOOO much sleep. The boy was in daycare and wasn’t there to keep popping in to ask if Mommy was “Wake yet?”. I made it through the rest of the week and through the next weekend and actually felt like I was beating the cold back. WRONG! Tuesday I spiked a fever and took myself to the “Emerg” at our local small hospital. I was seen in less then an hour and to be honest that is a long wait here. Usually I’m in and out in under 20 minutes. I have a sinus infection…again. Am on something from the penicillin family that are horse pills. But I have to say that I am feeling better now that I’ve been on it for about four days.
The first weekend of illness we still had our friend Melzini over for a “Weekend Away” in the country. She lives right in the market, in a beautiful one bedroom condo, and every-so-often we have her out overnight to remind her what quiet sounds like! ( J did his thing and pulled off about 4 Indian dishes. SO MUCH CURRY! ( The next day, her and I hit Walmart and Loblaws before taking her home.
This weekend has been without qualification AWESOME! First the Default concert on Thursday night, then taking The Boy with me into work to weigh-in (Lost 1.5 lbs!), going to the “Fun Zone” by the AMC in Kanata with The Boy for an hour of torturous working out climbing through the jungle gym with him. Got to hang out with Linda and Aiden too which is always a blast. Then Saturday I got to sleep in a bit before we were all out the door to go to the car dealerships to look over some cars. It looks like we are going to be going to the Dodge Caliber. It’s brand new out this year so we will be leasing, but it is a larger car and a hatch-back. After that fun we had some family fun by going to see Disney on Ice! This was The Boy’s first real test of his attention span and how he would react to that kind of situation. At first he was really scared of the huge room (Scotia Bank Place) and the occasional jungle sounds they were piping in (It was the “Jungle” series one with Tarzan, Jungle Book, and Lion King.). After the actual show started he was awesome! Sat on Mommy’s lap, sat on Daddy’s lap, sat in his own chair, watched intently, clapped when he was supposed to and generally had a great time! It was about ¾ the way through before he said to me, “Mommy home, eat!”. So we picked up and left before the crowds. We knew going in we weren’t going to make it through to the end, so we were proud he made it that far!
Tonight is Sara and her Mom and Dad over for dinner. J is doing his Curry Explosion thing again to impress and I have my secret weapon for Y and T! I am doing Risa recipe for Polar Bear Shots! Take a bottle of Crème du Cacao and Crème du Menthe, combine, rebottle, and chill! They taste like peppermint patties!!! YUMMY!!! Only thing is make sure to use the “white” option of each. I could only find the brown cacao so my shots are not clear like water. ( Oh well, it still tastes the same!
Ciao for now, must go mop the house.

Default Concert
For those of you who were not aware, I went to the Default concert at the Capital City Music Hall last night. Went with Keith, had a blast, met some cool people! Here are all the pics that I took. Blonde girl is the lead singer of one of the opening bands, Oliver Black. She was AWESOME! Very Janice Joplin. The guy in the red shirt is the lead singer of the other opening band that I didn't even get the name of. They were fun, but you could tell they were REALLY new. All their equipment was held together with duct tape! For the record, every pic that I'm in I'm horribly unattractive! Why do I tilt my head back when I look in the camera!?!
